CARE® FMECA (http://www.bqr.com)

CARE® FMECA particularly allows you to do traditional FMECA, defined, for example, in MIL-STD-1629A. For each component failure user should define the parent (next higher level) effect, even if it is not caused directly, but via many other components of the same level.

Only parent failure mode may be considered as failure effect, not transition from one good mode to another. Only failure modes of the lowest components (leaves) may be initial (internal) causes of each system failure. Other (composite) blocks may only pass the effect to the system level.

If there are real effects in the Product tree which do not satisfied these rules (that is, the Product tree does not reflect all functional effects), user cannot use the Product tree for FMECA, it should build a special Functional tree according to this rules.

In addition to traditional FMECA, CARE® provides more flexible and powerful capabilities to make your work easier, more visual, faster and to serve more practical cases. It allows you:

To take into account Next brother Effects and causes, not only effects to parent and to consider Good Modes as well as Failure modes, as failure conductor.

Worst Case Circuit/Parts Tolerance Analysis (Probabilistic Software)

This program performs an automated Worst Case Circuit Analysis in accordance with MIL-STD- 785B, Task 206.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

WSI REL (Rome Labs)

Reliability assessment of multi-chip packages and Wafer Scale Integration (WSI) modules. It includes failure theories for both structural and electronic failure mechanisms. Structural models include high and low cycle fatigue, Palmgren Miner damage accumulation, probabilistic methods for brittle materials, fracture mechanics, and creep with low cycle fatigue. Other factors considered are hot carrier induced degradation, electromigration, time dependency, and Kirkendall voiding.

Sneak Circuit Analysis

------------------------------------------------------------------------

SCAT (Sneak Circuit Analysis Tool) (Rome Labs)

An automated sneak circuit analysis package as specified in MIL-STD-785B task 205. Provides a computer-based system for real time identification of sneak paths and design concerns. Identifies sneak paths in switching circuitry in analog or digital design.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

SCAT for Windows (SoHaR)

An updated and expanded version of the earlier SCAT product developed for the USAF Rome Laboratory. Provides a pc-based tool for real time identification of sneak paths and design concerns. Identifies sneak paths in switching circuitry in analog or digital design.

ESD Susceptibility

------------------------------------------------------------------------

VZAP-91P (ESD Susceptibility Data) (Reliability Analysis Center)

Package includes data on approximately 4000 devices which includes: microcircuits, discrete components. Package has capability of complete independent data retrieval Data includes commercial part number, device description, manufacturer, ESD Classification (per MIL-STD- 1686A and MIL-STD-883, Method 30157), data code, information regarding the source of the data, R/C values used in the discharge circuit, failure voltage, pin combination, failure criteria, and more. Compatible with dBase and Symphony.

Root Cause Analysis Programs

------------------------------------------------------------------------

PROACT Software

PROACT software is a comprehensive software tool that automates the task of performing a Root Cause Failure Analysis.  PROACT allows the user to concentrate on solving the problem and not on learning difficult graphics and database programs.  Think of PROACT as a project management tool for Root Cause Failure Analysis. PROACT(tm) was chosen the most innovative and useful software for 1998 in the maintenance and general category by Plant Engineering Magazine readers.
